Re: Latest Project

don't know about a finisher yet, but we're just a sub. believe it or not what little you see of the chimney is about all that was standing plus one other small gable when we got there. the builder did that so they could pull a much cheaper permit fo an INTERIOR REMODEL!!

That's interesting working around the chimney with the vines crawling up the side.

Curious...the inside picture of you framing the rounded part, it looks like you don't have headers there. Am I not seeing it? Looks like you have a triple top plate?

Very nice, I'm jealous. I'm in the same type of weather as you are. Snow. Have about 6"-12" to deal with for now.

Re: Latest Project

the house is just under 11000 sq ft. neolitic is right, 2x10's with furring its kinda hard to tell, doug fir headers w/ doug fir cdx it all blends together. Framerman- dont be too jelous this house has been a nightmare from day one. The roof has been reengineered three times and I've gotten four revised sets of plans. Also like you said, dealing with the snow has really sucked. It got so deep with the lake effect that we had to have a skid steer come in and dig out around the yard.

Re: Latest Project

Great framing. Looks like a fun one.

You know the snow is bad when you have
CHAINS on your lift.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Looks good.

Baby Sis lives near Cedarburg
@ straight east of you.
I found it easier going to the
Menards in West Bend from her
place, than down to the one on
Brown Deer in Wauwatosa.
Figured that out cause lights from
West Bend are brightest ones
I see at night.
