Very funny FullSpool.

Thanks for the link railman. I already have that. Good to know someone else feels it is a good manual.

Does anyone have any tricks for holding the fittings square in a miter saw? I have read a lot of stuff and noticed some people come up with jigs.

An angled block of 2x to help hold it square and tight, definitely yes.I slide it( the angled block) back and forth till I have the connection piece at the angle I want to cut it on.Just make sure you have a good grip on it so the saw doesnt grab it and chunk it somewhere you dont want it to be.(Its happened to me more than once).
I try to get it in the first cut, cause making an adjustment cut on an upeasing or volute is a pain. Its almost better to try to adjust on the straight rail if you have to.

Quicker pitch for upeasings and overeasings

I have an easy answer for you. The quicker pitch upeasing cutting jig not only shows you where to cut the upeasing, but it is a safe jig for holding the upeasing while you cut it on the saw.
