Last week i had a news crew stop in from the A-channel in London and they asked if they could do a story on my Extreme Birdhouses so of course i said Sure .

Thanks again Sean , I just recently moved in May to my new location and since then i get about a dozen people a day stop in . I am on a very busy road so that really helps .

Thanks for the heads up , I don,t get their e letter so i would of missed it .
This is actually the fifth time i have had project of the month on there .I have a few projects on there .

I also got a email from another television show out of New Jersey today and they are interested in doing a segment on my work . It goes out to over 8 million homes throughout the states .

A few months ago i gave this birdhouse to my son and his new bride as a wedding gift .Well today we finally got it erected .
I built it almost 3 years ago so it was nice to finally see it go up !
It wasn,t a great day for pictures but it was pretty warm considering

Hi everyone , This is my latest Extreme Birdhouse .This bird mansion is made from 90 year old reclaimed barn wood ( hemlock )
It is 6 ft wide 45” high ,54” deep and has 30 rooms . The house weighs about 400 lbs . It has a screen in porch , gas fireplace and 2 bay windows . The base is made from 2 1/4” thick hemlock . It will be mounted 8 ft in the air on a single post . This one took me about a month to build .

This past week i have been busy digging holes and setting post to put up some of my largest birdhouses . They are all mounted 9 ft in the air and weigh up to 500 lbs .

What are you using for the bottoms of the birdhouses...Hard to tell f.rorm the pictures. Looks like a full 3 1/2 banding and maybe laminated 2xs? That is a lot of weight sitting on a square foot or so.

Tons of attention to detail and they are for real extreme

The banding is 3 1/2" like you said . The rest of the base is 2 1/4" thick hemlock , the cross braces underneath are also 2 1/4" ,total thickness 4 1/2"

Most of the time the base can weigh as much as the actual house .
