Pressure Treated Gazebo

Hi everyone
I decided to take a break from birdhouses for a week so i could build this gazebo for a neighbor.
it is 10 ft in diameter and 10 ft from floor to ceiling. 5/12 pitch on the roof.

John,
You mean somehow or another you couldn't have snuck in a birdhouse in that Gazebo someplace. Nice job BTW!

Your work and talent is incredible and unique! I want to buy one! It would be neat if people could send you pics of their homes or favorite buildings for you to custom reproduce as a birdhouse. What a market!

Thank you Debbie and KBK.
I am always trying to find old pictures of buildings, churches and schools from the late 1800s and early 1900s. i,m not having much luck.

i have always loved the look of old Victorian homes and buildings.
they have a lot of great detail that you don't see much anymore.
i can pretty well copy whatever i see and then i add a few of my own ideas.
i am starting a new one in a few days. i will post a few pics when its complete.

if anyone knows of any links to pictures of old homes, buildings i would love to see them.
thanks again
john

Extreme Birdhouse # 21

Hi again everyone.
Here is my latest extreme birdhouse .
This one is made from 60 yr old reclaimed barn wood. i pulled the nails, scraped off all the racoon dung and then ran it through the planer. it cleans up pretty well.

Ummm.. believe it or not.. I actually live in the oldest existing school house in my town. It was a one room school house from 1799 to 1927 and was then turned into a residential home. We are the third family to live in it! I have pictures from the town historian from when it was a school. One shot has the children outside playing.. the girls are all in dresses with bows and the boys are playing stick ball. It's really cool, but there is nothing architectually interesting about it what so ever!

Dude... your birdhouse are crazy. That is just some nice craftmanship. Whenever I look at them I am amazed at the detail in something so small ( well I guess for a birdhouse it is kind of big, but compared to a house or a deck)

Thanks Robert for the nice comments. sometimes i get a little carried away with them. most of the time i feel that there is not enough detail, but then if it was a real house i would go crazy on detail.
if the birds start paying me maybe i will add a bit more to them.
thanks again

Thank you hjm.
what most people don't see is i am usually in a lot of pain caused from a pain disorder but doing this stuff does help more then any doctor can. it defiantly gives me a reason to keep building. i used to build real homes for well over 20 yrs .this is a lot easier.
thanks again

You've got to be at least 50 years old to know what Lincoln Logs are. Anybody got a plan for a bluebird house. I've got a lot of them at my birdbath.
