This past weekend i attended Kitchener Waterloo Wood Show with my Extreme Birdhouses . Overall it was a great weekend , there was even a few good deals on tools.
I had a chance to meet a lot of guys from online and there was no shortage of people attending the show . Luckily i had some help from my son because it sure was busy .

I,m getting a lot of orders for this style . They even come with roof top pools .

I get asked all the time if the birds actually use them . All i can say is they love them !!

Hi everyone, Here are a few pics of my newest Extreme Birdhouse . This house is 7 ft tall , 5 ft wide x 4 1/2 ft deep . It is made from 120 year old barn wood and has 38 rooms and a roof top pool .
This birdhouse is headed to Sarnia ont .

Last weekend a customer came and got his birdhouse and then last night he sent me these pictures along with a message to how he mounted the birdhouse .

John:
We got the birdhouse home without any problems.

The next day, Monday; I started looking for a forklift to hire. Well, there are not many of those four wheel drive lift trucks around that people know of, but as I was driving along the industrial area, saw one sitting at a welding place. Went in and asked the girl if they hire it and the driver out, she put me on the phone with the owner and we agreed on Thursday morning. I had to pay for a tow company flat bed truck to bring it to my house and Paul the owner of the lift came and he picked the birdhouse up in front of my house, drove it down the street to the park entrance and into the park to where my trees are. Had it on top of the trees perfect in about 10 minutes. It took me about 4 hours to have the top of tree trunks perfectly level with a chain saw though. Had to cut in where the braces where as well After all the engineering of the tree and the measurements of the birdhouse, it fit like a glove. Instead of fence posts as braces for the birdhouse, I used aircraft wire and adjusters. Screwed in eyehooks into the tree and drilled holes for eyehooks through the base of the birdhouse. Worked great and from a short distance you only see the trunks of the tree and the birdhouse on top of it. We took lots of pictures and I will send you some real soon. Looks really great on the trunks and the people in the park are totally amased at what they see. Thanks for a great job and I will send you pictures.

Thanks Robert ! I get told to smile all the time but i live with chronic pain so it isn,t always easy to smile . I am always smiling inside .

Here is another house finished today .It is 4 ft square x 4 1/2 ft tall and made from scrap cedar .This one took 3 days to build .
I still have to caulk the seams as soon as they get some red in .

The owner mailed me some more pictures this week and they came in today .
This is it,s permanent home !

His yard backs on to a very busy park .

Hi everyone , Here is my newest Extreme Birdhouse . It is over 5 ft tall and made from 100 year old reclaimed barn wood .
This 20 room home also has a rooftop swimming pool .

When people order those, are they all people that live around there? So you bring them over and install them? What if someone who lived far away wanted one of those big ones?

I get a combination of both . The large red house above with the forklift was put up by the owner . He lives about 2 or 3 hours away so he hired a forklift driver to help him put his up .
I also put some of them up myself if they live close by and ask me to . I just include it in with the price .
I prefer to put them up when i can so i can make sure they are installed properly and so i can get finished pics .

If someone orders one from the states then it is pretty well out of my hands . I can only give them advice on how to put it up .
I just shipped one yesterday to New Jersey by courier . They have to be within a certain size to ship .

The largest they will ship is roughly 32" square . 50-60 lbs
One customer ordered 5 houses at once so the owners hired 2 guys to travel 2,000 miles to come get them .

Very nice work. I and a friend of mine often discuss bird houses as an interesting possibility for a creative outlet. You sir have absolutely taken this to the extreme.

I built houses for 20 years and no one really noticed and then i start building birdhouses and now they are recognized all over the world .
