For Bodger and other Antiques.....
....fans.
You asked for it, so....
1951 vintage Skil, note the handy
compact storage case.
Add: Sorry thought I made them small.

WOW! That is an old beauty. That saw is older than I am.
And I think you said it still works like new.
That was the best you could get in 1951, nuthin' beatin' it, I'm sure.
Thanks Neo.
And to be too nosy and snoop around in the corners of your shop, but what is that to the left? Looks like a vintage chopsaw of some kind.
On the right I think I'm seeing a radial arm.

The blade guard is cracked,
and they won't sell me a replacement
part....the nerve!
It still flips down, as long as I keep
it well lubed, but that's why she
stays at home these days.
That and 6" diamond arbor blades
are scarce and none.

Is that the original rip guide also? We had a bricklayer on a job that was still using his skil wormdrive that had a metal handle.

Old Rockwells, built like tanks. I did some work for a guy that had one of the old jointers they used to make. That thing was built like a backhoe.

In 30 years, I've replaced 2 belts
and 6 or 8 tables on her.
And, she still goes to job sites
on a regular basis.
Once again, 9" blades are becoming
a problem.
