The yard is fenced 6' with locking gate so neighbor kid issue is pre

Doesn't look right at all. What you did is dangerous and an accident waiting to happen, even if you claim there are no rules. There are no codes where you're from to follow? If a little toddler crawls underneath that rail and falls out, you can probably be liable since you built it. Budget or not, you still built something unsafe.and not to code.

I dont know how to do all qoute qoute stuff i did tell them more wood needed to be added to the railing. And told them again.

not in this community which is out of any city limits. I already took a huge hit on this deck due to my partner mis-communicating but i DID tell them what needs to be done. Thanks to my ex i dont have the time to lend a hand anymore. Three years ago I wouldve donated time and material but i can no longer do that. This is the only job ive had in a couple years where there were no permits required. I use to live there so it was always nice when i added to my house or built 5 water gardens or had a bon fire that i didnt have to deal with the city. I had a good friend in the city who built a water garden and his neighbor turned him in and he went through hell, but was good to begin with.
didnt mean to change subject, but i plan to go by this weekend ill tell what i see
