Wood Working Style

When it comes to doing your own thing.....what is your favourite style
I would have to say "prairie style crossed with modern."

Re: Wood Working Style

Per my wife's taste, country pine/shabby chic. Lotta distressed paint finishes. I'm way over that myself, and i want to build more stained pieces. I once dreamed of getting into antique reproductions, working in the 18th century styles. There's good money in that, but I don't have that level of skill, nor can I abandon my own trade for a new one at this juncture.

i think it would fall under victorian era, but i like big thick built up moldings 8"crown, and wall panels, beadboard in kitchens and baths.

shaker in cherry for its simplistic beauty (furniture). shingle style house for its grandeur (home), all though I appreciate aspects of many styles.
