What Da Ya Think?

Setting myself up I know.......But I think it's not so bad for doing this in my garage with a hammer, skill saw, router, and screwgun...

It's going into my dentists basement mancave.

I think it looks great. I hope you have figured how to get it down there. Might be a little tight. Oh man wouldn't that be embarrassing!

Looks Great! I would like to know more about the top rail and what type of material and how you made it.

The top came from a local bar that closed. It was longer then the piece I used. You can see the piece I cut off sitting on top of the bar. I only built the bottom part. The foot rest I made out of red oak.

It only looks big and bulky...it's really not that heavy. The top easly comes off, two men can handle it.

Its works out so well when you can find things to reuse like your old bar top.

Nice job!! what is the finish ?

I always like red oak and pine together

Is it a barter?

If so dose he get to use his early set of tools? ouch!!

Can you imagine what Gus Dering teeth would look like

Just a minwax maple stain with ML Campell Royal sealer and a touch of J&J wax...http://www.mlcampbell.com/products/s...search=C122216

Barter my azz...I charge more then he does....and his wife (who is gorgeous) while I was remodeling her bathroom kept giggling every time she would walk by and look in she would say "you're making me excited Jon"...when he got home I told him he had his work cut out for him tonight...all the prep work was done.......He said he would take it from here and handle the details....

Re: What Da Ya Think?

Well done - we had a similar project about 2 years ago. We had to pay for a new upholstered top though. Great find on yours!
