Re: The Wall Of SHAME!

Original structure was built in the 1920's. In rural areas of the north east its not uncommon to find these year round dwellings that were originally constructed as camps or small barns.

Re: The Wall Of SHAME!

This job started off simply removing and replacing the gutters and gutter guards with the same size and type. Customer drug his feet for a couple weeks but finally decided to pull the trigger before it snows so I made an exception and decided he could be the last job of the year.

This new roof was an insurance job, once I remove the gutter guards and realize that they didn’t install the first course of shingles, starter strips or ice water shield I took pictures for the customer. Five minutes later the customer, who is going absolutely nuts, has the roofer on the phone who is calling me a liar and assuring the client that it’s a perfect job that he personally supervised.

This retard tells me that he wants to set an appointment with me and the homeowner at the homeowners residence for us all to get together and sort this out...not happening. What’s to sort out? You screwed the homeowner and got caught. Edit to add, this is a local roofing company that’s been around for 30 years.

Not to mention that plank roof could use some plywood.

I had HD do a carpet job on a rental 8 years ago.
The guys did great work and I also grabbed his card.
He has been doing all my rentals since and getting ready to do my living room if I ever get the painting finished.

He left HD years ago and subs with a few different big flooring companies.

It might not be over depending on what happens first. Will wind blow down before they notice.? These guys drive an hour each way. I saw this while doing yard work today.
