V.s.i. Certification ?
has any one taken the test? we are going to. just wanted to know what it was like? do you think that installers will need to be certified or just a money racket? v.s.i. = vinyl siding institute of amercia they offer cert. test to installers they also offer training for 2 days before test. we have already passed alcoa, certainteed, vinyl and fiber cement.

Re: V.s.i. Certification ?
I'm considering it and will probably do it, but haven't done it yet.
I think the VSI is a good institution which I have fallen back on several times when arguing with customers about proper installation methods. I am a member of the National Roofing COntractors Association, and as my siding share picks up I will join the VSI as well. If nothing else it's one more reason for your customers to say yes to you and no to someone who is not certified and if that's the only reason you do it, that's good enough for me. |
