Undercut Doors

As a GC we order the doors and have the carpenter install them. Do we have to inform the Door sub to provide this undercut(1/2") exist on his submittal before he provides the doors so it comes with it alreadyto the site or does the carpenter typically add this in on site if noted on the drawings?
