Tudor Home
We are currently doing a rear addition to a Tudor house and we finish the outside as per plan: Stucco siding with simple wood trim. Now the client wants to add more wood on the back. Being that the stucco is almost flush with the 5/4 wood, I think we should cut in the additional trim. Also we now need to distress the wood somehow, now that it is already installed. I'm thinking a belt sander with a course belt and a grinder with a wire brush wheel maybe. Has anyone out there found themselves in a similar predicament??

Re: Tudor Home
If you can a sand blaster would work well for distressing the wood. It will take out the softer wood around the rings first just don't over do it. Less is more in this regard.
If not a brass wire-cup wheel would do alright but you have to practice with it first. Andy.
