Trim Woes

First off, I am not good at trim work. I would like to get better though. Here is my delima. I have hung T&G on a ceiling and now need to trim it out. It is on a vaulted/cathedral ceiling, follows the pitch of roof. When I run down from the top and meet up with the horizontal trim that runs along where the wall and ceiling meet up, I can not get the trim to meet up. It is like the trim is taller at that point. I know why it is this way, but just do not know how to get around it. I hope that this makes since. Thanks.

Whenever you bring a raked angle into a horizontal, you must cut a small transition piece to match the angles.

Here's the details:

You're welcome.

Re: Trim Woes

I believe there is a thread on here with more examples of this, it also tells you about outside corners too. Do a search and it should come up.

Re: Trim Woes

you're probably doing this already, but I'll get the angle right on scrap wood first before trying my hand at the more expensive long pieces.
