Well there was your first mistake, a carpet installer trying to be a trim carpenter.

I'll let that one speak for itself.

Good luck with that.....

Well if you can make it look like a true professional master carpenter put it in you might be able to charge a lot more. If it looks like a guy who normally does carpet did it then I think you are charging too much to the customer.

Re: Trim Baseboard How To Price.

going to be tuff to cut neat corners with a carpet knife, not real sure if the tack strip will hold the trim down either.

How much do you want to make an hour?

Do you have to paint it?

You can find the answer to your question on this site. There are TONS of posts that will teach you HOW to bid this project. The first thing you will learn is that NO ONE can tell YOU how much to charge.

Since this is not your bread and butter and you think you can do a good job and you think it will take you a day to do it, just charge a day rate. If you think it is to low bump it up and see what they say.

Guesstimate your hours, multiply times $100, add material. That used to work for me.

Re: Trim Baseboard How To Price.

FYI ,,been around a time or two and I'd say be careful asking for someone else to price for you, cause you may get the job and be paying the bills with the wrong paycheck.
