Don't you think that has alot or at least something to do with the materials used now a days as opposed to the ones used in the 20s? I know alot of things were built stronger back them because alot of made of concrete and brick. Look at the autos of today verse the older ones

He spelt restaurant wrong too, let's get him! :-) ..... The quality of work has taken a dive for sure, but alot of people care more about money than quality. I found that out a long time ago. I used to work with good quality cabinets(still do with certain companies)all the time but now i just can't believe the ******************** i see going in million dollar homes. They look like they were made by 5th graders for a grammer school project.

Speaking as somebody who just does remodelling work, I'm grateful they don't make them like they used to anymore.

Poor FASTFRAMER is only reaching probably 20% of the overall market. Adapt or change my good man.

As for remodeling. Coming accross an old home and tring to cut through beams, and typical framing. You crank up your circular saw or recipical and turn it on........

The wood just laughs at the blades. Petrified wood. harder than concrete. Real true 2 x 4's. They don't make em like that anymore. The best thing I like is the old framers before code spaning 2 x 8's some 16 feet on floor. Makes for a geat slope.
