Small Trim Saw Recommendation
I have a large Dewalt compound slider, but it's killing my back! I'm looking for something very small and portable-has a good dust collection back and would be a good choice to bring in the house w/ me when doing moulding (and maybe flooring). Craftsman has a 7 1/2" small miter saw-at $90 the price is right. Does anyone have suggestions? I did look at a good qualtiy hand miter box, but at $40, the speed of an electric would definitely be nice. Width isn't important as I'm using this primarily w/ smaller baseboard.

I have a 10" Ryobi that I take to do punch with. It is light, and easy to carry.

I have a little Delta 10" CMS in the truck at all times. Out of the box, it took a little while to dial in. It's good for a lot of small stuff.

Re: Small Trim Saw Recommendation
I purchased the Craftsman 7 1/4"-I can't cut 3 1/4" baseboard standing up, therefore have to lay it flat and bevel the saw to make a 45 degree cut :-( also, the rear material plate is not flat, which makes inaccurate cuts. I may end up taking it back-back to the drawing board!

Re: Small Trim Saw Recommendation
I have 7 1/4 that is the same as the Craftsman. Accuracy is not its strong suit, but it sure is light. Makita makes a 7 1/2 slider which is is a great saw. But about 4 x the price I think. Around 25 lbs.
