Level Decks On The Top Floors
When building a multi story residential stick frame building what method do others use to ensure a level deck surface once your off the poured concrete foundation. The way i was shown was to us a laser level in the basement. Find a level baseline all the way around the basement walls. measure up the wall then shim or plane the next floor (ex +1/8, +1/4, -3/16. Is this a common practice to have two more stories essentially resting on shims. Of course point loads are put in at all bearing points. What methods do you guys use to ensure level decks on the upper stories when building out of a concrete hole

Re: Level Decks On The Top Floors
Why isn't the concrete level?
