Hardie Again
Another post got me thinking. Maybe let’s change the question and would be more of a debate.
Which siding would still look good and cost less over lets say a 40 year period. Not considering the cheaper look/feel of vinyl. Assuming a medium good .048 vinyl with lifetime fade guarantee and the newer paints on the hardie like duration or timeless if not pre painted. I thought about this and it’s really not clear to me. Considering the extra cost of hardie to first install then let’s say 3 paint jobs over the 40 year period. Vinyl maybe replacing in 20 years. I say it will still fade just maybe not as much. Any opinions? |
