Dewalt VS Milwaukee

i have been looking at replasing my current in-line circular saw i have worked with both Dewalt and Milwaukee. and i have also read up on both and from what i could tell the only real difference was about .5 LB btw the two. i am leaning towards Milwaukee but though i would ask for other opinions.

Re: Dewalt VS Milwaukee

your pretty much asking what came first, the chicken or the egg.

everyone will have there own opinion, dewalt, milwaukee, makita, porter cable, there all fine tools, and just pick which one you like the feel of best. if you cant pick by feel, choose your favorite colour.

Re: Dewalt VS Milwaukee

I've always liked the worm-drive Skil saw.

Re: Dewalt VS Milwaukee

Every tool manufacturer has there specialty, but also produce everything else under the sun to keep up with the competition. IMO Makita is best known for cordless drills, Milwaukee the holehog and Skil for the worm drive saw.

Re: Dewalt VS Milwaukee

I got a milwalkee left bladed "sidewinder". I like the adjustable handle... and its convenient when working with old school framers since they seem to have an aversion to anything but a super heavy and awkward wormdrive. They don't know what to complain about since the blade is on the same side. Framers... although i insist on using their saws when working with hardi products...
