Custom Shed Doors

I am going to be building a nice custom shed...my only problem is I am very limited on my experience in creating some good looking out-swing doors.

I have planned on using 3/4" marine grade plywood. The structure will be 7" reveal lap Hardie except for the doors. I will be making a (2) 2-6 system. I am planning on incorporating hinge blocking into the door trim and then build an internal Z frame (plywood out). I am not very artistic so I know I can make it strong - but it might look like a**.

I am open to any suggestions. Any pictures of a good looking idea would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Re: Custom Shed Doors

...I try google image search when I need something like that, every now and then something good pops up.

Also try a search with other related things, like Barn Doors...

They are basic, but I like it. Clean lines

Re: Custom Shed Doors

I built doors for a shed using 1/2" Azek sheet with 3/4" Azek trim on top in the style of the old Crossbuck doors.

Re: Custom Shed Doors

You're welcome Mike. There is a post with pics of more elaborate (and I'm sure more expensive) Azek doors on here somewhere if you want to go that route.
