Composite Wood Gazebo
It is not really a gazebo but I did not know what to call it. I guess it is more of an open air porch. It is going to be attached to the house. I am going to use 6x6 poles, cedar, but for the rest of the structure could composite wood be used. I was thinking that using composite would be very beneficial to the HO since he is elderly and does not want to worry about the up keep every year. Mt first reservation about this was the fact that composite wood is very flexible, but I would be "tieing" together the rafters with 1x1 covering on the top for shade. My second reservation was the difference in weight of composite versus wood. The area to be covered is 11x12. I am open to any kind of suggestions. Thanks.
