Cedar Veneer Over Strucure

I need to wrap a 3 season sunroom in cedar. I am going over spruce structure. What do you think will give the nicest finished look? Particularly on the outside corners.... I was thinking of using 1x cedar and routering the corners. Any other ideas?

You're covering the inside? I've seen that once, can't remember exactly how it was done, I think with tongue and groove planks.
