Apprenticing
Hello I have always wanted to duel trade in Carpentry and Electrical work but im not sure as to how to go about doing such a thing. I love to work with my hands and i believe doing both these jobs would make me a very happy man. im 21 and i live in MA. If any of you could help me on my way to become a journeymen in both these fields i would highly appreciate it. Or should i just stick to one field and go from there? I'm pretty confused as to what i should do and it would be very helpful if you could all help me on this one.
Should i go Union or Non-Union? should i go to a School for a year before i Apprentice or should i just apprentice? Should i just pick one trade or should i stick to possible duel trading? I like the idea of Residential carpentry and Electrical work. I'm sorry for all the questions i hope you guys can help me out... Sean |

Re: Apprenticing
Sean,
the unions offer classes. Learning two trades is not easy, but if you have the dedication to do it then do it. The more you know about everything the more likely you may end up runing the big projects later in life. |
