Question

Anybody Ever Use Cordless Guns Besides Paslode Or Dewalt?

I know senco and hitachi both make one but I've never even seen them in use. They seem to be on par with the price of the paslodes but I'd like to hear how they operate and if they are as finicky as the paslodes. Also senco offers a 15 gauge 14.4 v nailer.

hitachi offers a gas operated framer that fires full head nails as well as a clipped head gas operated nailer. the retail is high but you can get em on amazon pretty cheap.

I know the dewalt 18v trimnailer, besides being heavy, has gotten some good reviews.

I have the Hitachi framer and it's great. It uses the same nails as my Hitachi air nailer which is a huge plus.

My cousin uses the DeWalt cordless and loves it. He said the thing has taken a serious beating and keeps on ticking. They also have the Paslode gas guns and he hates those, they only work when they want to. I will check out that Senco as well as the DeWalt, I'd like to eliminate the hose.

I use a CO2 kit from lowes... then I dont have to buy any other guns. Same ones work. Saves space in the already small trailer.

Re: Anybody Ever Use Cordless Guns Besides Paslode Or Dewalt?

I used to have (until it broke down on me) a Porter Cable 18 gauge cordless brad nailer. The thing had a small built in compressor that kicked on after a shot or two. I thought it worked pretty good for really small jobs that you didn't wanna lug your heavy compressor to. The only problem I had with it (beside it breaking down) was the weight and balance-which took some getting used to- and the baterry life. It sucked up that 12 volt batterry so fast that I had to have a couple charging up on stand by.
