14" X 20" Timber Strand Beams??? Help Me!
I am new to this forum so first off hello ya'll from Canada!
I have a question that i want to throw out for all your wisdom to help me with! I found last week a cedar mill that has a large ammount of old timberstrand beams. Like big beams 14" x 20" they are 6' all the way up to 20' long. I can have them all for free!!!!!!!!! the mill used them for donage and they have been placed on paved yard not full of gravel. I have ideas of post and beam barn or 40'x 40' shop. the problem i am having is that there is 5 feight trucks full loads. That is truck and trailer!! not 5 ton! Anyone know if there is any other use for this amount of timbers! They will not be structural but i could use them for retaining walls if i payed to get them milled and P.Treated. If the glue could handle the P.T.??? I will owe you all for your help and thanks for having a place to swap trade secrets and support others in the trades! Thanx agian!!! P.S. sorry for the long message!! lol Bye
