I put in an American Standard wlak-in tub and thought it was very nice, thick acrylic had a standard 1 1/2" drain. There is a tubular frame around the thing that was handy for getting through the window into the bedroom then into the bath room.
It had jets so it was a little tricky figuring out where to put the faucet handles and tub fill and hand shower put nothing too bad.
Cracks down the road? I doubt it.
Andy.

There are models that use a pump to quickly drain the tub. I guess people don't want to sit around and wait for the water to drain.

I guess they could always open the door!!

Does anyone have any links to suppliers? I've wanted to start offering them to my older clients; I just haven't found a supplier yet.

like 5 years ago we had one put in for a customer. It was drop shipped to their drive way. took 3 guys to carry it in. Not sure what brand it was but the thing wasnt cheap. It is what she wanted, she was 94 at the time and still is using it to this day. it only had about a 2" curb before the door, so it was a long time sitting and waitng to fill and drain
