It really wasnt a design, the guy bought the jacuzzi, then found out the room was too small. so there came in the curved walls to make some room. he had some curved towel racks that were going to go in the nooks where it looks like nothing would go. So we fit everything else in. The sink and everything is actually sitting on the air return that was originally in the floor. It was sealed and approved by our HVAC guy so we ran all the plumbing through it and sealed it off. I had the piece of corian extra from a fabrication job so it worked great. I think it turned out pretty good since when we began we didnt really know how he wanted it to go back together. Glad you guys like it since then we have several people interested in curved walls in some bath remodels that we already had planned. What do you guys think about the whole bowl sink stuff??? it was our first and I dont think it turned out bad just wish it was a different color. Take it easy and appreciate the feedback

As I said above, the craftsmaship looks very good. On the design side, a couple of small things you might consider for future projects:

Since you have an overhead shower, I would have taken the tile all the way to the ceiling. The drywall above isn't going to look good for very long if very many showers are taken. It also would have stretched out that corner of the room a little and not made the tub area look quite so short and wide.

The tile might have looked a little better with a layout that took the valve location into consideration. It's crowding your accent tiles. If you don't have the luxury of knowing the tile & design at the rough-in stage when placing the valve, then work the tile layout around it.

The toilet, IMHO would have been better placed perpedicular to the valve wall. With that big whirlpool taking up so much room, floor space and traffic area is at a premium. Visually, the angled corner just takes up too much of it. It also looks like a big guy would clip his knees on the corner of the tub.

This is not meant to be nit picking, just constructive criticism. It's in the finer details that a project goes from looking "GOOD" to "AMAZING"--and clients go from being just happy & satisfied to raving fans. As I said, your craftsmanship looks very good in putting it all together. Adding just a bit more design sense will make your future projects look all the more better.

There's a skill and finese to making small bathrooms look as big as possible--and using every inch of space in the most efficient, asthetically pleasing way. Many times, you can surprise your clients with small ideas that make a huge difference to the overall look of the finished product. When I first started out, I bought every bathroom, kitchen & home design book I could find. I still read as many trend magazines & books as I can in order to stay sharp. Being able to bring a bit of design sense to the table will make you a much more competitive and sought after remodeler.

Again, I hope you don't take any of this as an personal attack. Just some things you might consider in the future.

Respectfully,

Thanks for all your help and advice, I will take all that I can get. I have been doing remodeling for a long time with my dad but now it is my business. Having to learn quite a bit about the whole higher end remodeling this is a first for us and the tile was chosen that height by the customer. My Idea was to take it at least 6' 6" but I will do what that customer wants. I am glad you said what you said. Will have to pick up some trend magazines havent thought about it but now that we are getting into customers houses that have the money to get what they want will definately come in handy. Thanks for everything and the design ideas.
