How do I go about finding customers like yours who are willing to part with more than $27 at a time?

Walk away from the rest. I had someone ask me for a price this past weekend for a kitchen floor. When I gave it to them, they told me they were sure they could get someone for 2.50 a foot (cement board and 18x18 tile). I told them go ahead. For that price I don't even load my tools up. They know what their work is worth. And with that, I left.
As soon as they start going for a bargain basement price, you can bet they're going to be a PITA during the job, trying to nickel and dime you to death. It's just not worth the headaches. Atleast not to me.

That's the Boca Raton I remember, expensive and full of gated communities.
Beautiful,absolutely beautiful.
It's got to be nice to work for people that can afford to go that extra step.
I worked in a gated community called The Santuary ,back in the 80's.
Big homes, somebody said Burt Reynolds was living there.
Anyways, what a place to hang your shingle.

It's funny that all really, really EXPENSIVE kitchens are build to LAST & LOOK forever but they are RARELY used, if not never, because all rich owners are TOO busy making their big bucks & not at home often (travel)... while all the CHEAP kitchens are proned to material errors, damages, abused, over-used, etc.. because all/many family members/kids use it so frequently... even down to every hour of the day.... from toaster to ovens to microwaves to faucets, to walking over, to turn on lights, etc... that seems remodelling choice or redesign in few years to 5 years to 10 years as often as it could be.
So being rich does pay a lot but don't use, while being poor don't pay much but does use heavily!
Just 2 cent thought of the day.

I hope you charged extra for the bucket.
Nice work there. I bet your trim carpenter was sad to see the end of that job.
