ugly house before/after
This house was in unbelievably bad shape. Believe it or not, they said they had it painted by a guy four years before me. Said it started peeling before he got out of driveway!!

What are the particulars on how you painted it?
Scrape, sand, primer type, paint latex, oil brand?
Andy.

Is that Over-spray all over the Greenery near the porch?????????? And is that your "clearing the gun" all over the lawn???????
No worries. It all gets mowed and regrows!!!
A necessary result of painting!
I would like to see a real Close-Up of the work. Especially around the corners and windows.
Hard to judge the Quality of YOUR work in White Paint.

yeah, normally would all get masked off and clean gun out in bucket. This is a local farmers mom's house who had passed away. Nobody lives there. He doesn't want to let the house get completely away from him. THere were no worries about the lawn/greenery. In fact, he cut all the bushes and shrubs out after we painted. I knew someone would ask that! Good observations!

This job was a couple of years ago. I think we used A100 oil primer and superpaint topcoat. We scraped a ton off. We sanded some of it, but not down to a full restoration. Went through buckets of caulk.

From what I can see, the paint looks good. But, is that paint on the roof in the after photos??

What was used on the porch and foundation?
Am I right in thinking the pics are of the front and side?

It is the front and side. I know we used deckscapes solid color on the wood deck. As far as the foundation I really don't remember. I can check my records tonight and see.

Scraping, primer, painting one color $3800.00
Adding an accent color to the trim... priceless.

Tried to talk him into framing the windows with an accent. He just wanted the house sealed up. I agree. Would've been nice

Is the porch, with what looks like an old pump, not concrete?
Was the owner upset about the roof, or did he plan to replace it.
The house looks really good to me.

I think what you are seeing is paint scrapings. There wasn't any paint on the roof. We covered the hell out of everything. If that were paint I don't think I'd post it on here to show a bunch of professionals a boo boo like that Amazing how good of eyes everyone has Front porch wood, back is concrete.

I see. I just have this fear of stepping in paint and unknowingly spreading it everywhere before I realize it.
One spot on shoe becomes many on floor, etc..
Besides, I have little to do today/ lately except aggravate people who have something to do.

Well, I'm right here with you. I obviously am not too busy. I figured out how to post pics though!! Kinda fun. Gotta be daring/willing to take criticism on a sit like this

Looks like a good job done to me. Just what the customer wanted. If he/she is pleased, then all is well. Hey boman47k, you are around my neck of the woods.
