Spray gun still spays little stream after detriggering
Its only about a 2 inch line and its ok when brushing after spraying. But when doing aluminum or vinyl, cant have that. I have tried everything..new guard, gasgets, clean filter, lower pressure, loosen back screw?? Maybe needs repacking? Its been used on 7 houses and a sw contractor ($150.00)

Sounds like you need to take the gun apart and give it a good cleaning. Get you a gallon of Carburature Cleaner from NAPA and take the front of the gun off and remove the needle valve assembly. Soak everything in the cleaner over night and then clean everything back up with water and a nylon cleaning brush and put the gun back together. Adjust it up and it should work. If not, then get a re-build kit and replace the parts.

Gun starts randomly spitting....no cleaning job will fix it. It needs a new needle and seat. You can just replace the needle, but its not that much cheaper than changing both the needle and seat. Can be done by you so no need for service for around $50 ( usually if a customer buys a kit from me I install it for them in a bout 10 min )

Rebuild it, like other poster said 50.00 and you should be back into a good spray pattern. You could take it apart and give it a thorough cleaning asnd it might fix your problem.

Rebuilding the newer graco guns is simple, the older ones with the nut in the back were a little harder because if you over tightened them they wouldnt shut off, but even those were pretty easy after you did a couple.

Yes, Home Depot, the savior of the building trades. The all carry magic wands in their aprons. Do you know they once brought my dead hamster back to life?

Clean it, repack it, and maintain it. Spent two hours this a.m. redoing 3 guns...no sweat.
As soon as any of my guns start to show problems they get pulled and redone. (This year was the first year that I've purchased new guns and thats because I couldnt pass up on the pricing.) I'm a real stickler for clean equipment and my guys know it. If they cant take the time to clean and maintain equipment, I cant afford them no matter how good they are.
