Question moving to bigger and better thing

advice.... I have been painting apartments for six years. I am licenced and insured/bonded. I begain looking in to residential repaints and the money is so much better any advice on how to get the ball rolling with that, as far as a costomer base to get the foot in the door. I can not beleive I have not been doing this all along.

Look into a networking group called BNI (business networking international)

When i started my residential painting company i joined a chapter in Cleveland and it gave me enough work to keep one crew working year round.

After you complete 10 - 15 jobs if you are any good you shouldn't even have to advertise to keep a couple crews working. Word of mouth referrals are the best and dont be afraid to ask your customers to pass out your business cards and any promotional materials you have.

good luck

so glad you seen the light my friend! Network your ass off is all I can say. I spoke with an overhead door company installer today. He wants his place painted. I saw him at the gas station. Good luck!
