countertop refinish/shuffle board
I just started doing some bathtub/counter top refinishing. THese are of my first job. I used midwest chemicals and can say that the products are phenmomenal. It has been about a year since I did these. I was worried the product wouldn't hold up. It still looks like it did when it went down. The shuffle board is painted over asbestos tiles. I used the aerospace primer and porcelain enamel 1000. The grey is their multistone. The counter was done with same multistone except sanded smooth. Surprising how well it holds up. The countertop was yellow formica and the floors were pink. Never would have thought!

Love it!!
I tip thine hat to your skills.
I have a number of clients that seek refinishing for their counter tops as opposed to the price of replacing with stone, your referral is priceless.

Truly does look and feel like stone. You can sand down smooth before clearing for smooth finish or leave rough to look like stone.

Traditions used Midwest Chemical supplies on this job (see post #2). The fireplace mantle (post: what a difference) I just posted was done with supplies through Hawk Labs.
You need a HPLV sprayer. My sprayer cost $800. With safty equipment and such, my initial investment was about $1,200. I still need a good exhaust system because the chemicals are nasty.
Check out their websites. There are some really cool products out there and both companies offer classes.

I have plenty of my own resperators. I even got 3 of the old school round cartridge type, I have no idea why I still have them since they no longer make cartridges, but I do.
I always wear them on eveything but latex, I use a paper dust mask for latex. I have sprayed some nasty stuff without them in my younger foolish days, stuff that makes it hard to breathe for days. I try not to be so foolish anymore, I cant afford the lost brain cells

It is what they call knock down texture around here. What do they call it in Toledo ?
I worked in a part of Indiana once where nobody had heard of it either, they all wanted a stomp texture. Around here Spanish Lace/ knockdown is all you can get.
