Brass tacks here.
How long did it take?
In phases, or all at once?
Did the remain in the house,
move out for part of the work,
or do it before moving in?
Any mental health or marriage
counseling? (For you or the HO?)

Fortunately they didn't move in until we were almost done.

I had done another kitchen for them in '06 in their previous house in Meridian-Kessler that they were still living in.

We started the first of July last year and were significantly complete around Christmas. The final punch outs and finishes took another month or so. We took a delay on part of the cabinetry (the pantry wall) which wasn't done until February.

Cool customers.
And wise ones too.

Re: Whole House Remodel

Balcony rail restoration:

The original posts from the balcony:

The railing was completely gone when we started. We had new corner posts turned in cypress and milled the handrail and pickets onsite from 2x cedar (fortunately the taller roof support posts were still solid).

The rail was a tad low originally--I cheated it as high as I could on the flat of the roof columns and had the corner posts made a little taller. It also had picket spacing that was far too wide. We added the 2x2s between the decorative profiles to maintain the look but make it safer.

And yes, that was the day a can of paint rolled over and spilled in the back of my truck...

Merdian St. is one of my favorite streets in Indy. I love that bath room, the sink in awesome, tile work is awesome, everything done feels like it fits the house. You did that house a great service, and I think it will look like that for another 50 or 60 years, truley Timeless work.

Did I mention that the bath vanity was completley kick ass!!
