No way, how about floor joists?

With all that weight how can it be mobile?

Re: Trailer Park Boy Strikes Again

I've worked on older trailers that had TGI type joists, except the webbing was only half there. 3 feet of web, 3 feet of nothing, 3 feet of web, 3 feet of nothing, couldn't even walk on them with no sheathing on the floor.

I imagine the new models have tgi joist systems.

Ya know you sound like you do a lot of trailer remodels. I for one have had a couple of walkthroughs and kept on walking. To many horror stories from friends, plus most of my opinions on trailers comes from the 70's.

I'm thinking though one could really fill a niche if your brave enough. I've never known anybody that specializes in trailers or even works on them on a regular basis.

Hats off to you trailer boy!

I've worked on my fair share for sure. My old boss used to have a knack for getting the most F****d up, crappiest jobs and then say to me just go do it, it's easy.

Like I said before, you just have to expect utter hell when going into a trailer for demo, more fasteners than 2 average houses. The small landing area (@ 5'x5') I tore out in this place had probably 60 or more 3 1/2" spiral nails holding it down to the sub floor, yet not one drop of glue .
