My first kitchen.

http://s227.photobucket.com/albums/dd295/send_it_all/

Well I finally decided to try to figure out how to post pics. It only took me 2 hours...lol.

These are some pics of the first kitchen I did a few years back. I was unhappy with the guy who built the cabinets. He claimed that he used to own a big cabinet and millwork company in Vegas and he had just opened a shop near me and gave me a great price. This whole kitchen was 10k. Unfortunately, he only built them about 22" deep, no backs in them, the fridge cabinet came with both side panels already attached, the oven cabinet came with an integrated toe kick. I had to get a little "creative" to stand them up in the kitchen. I clipped the bottom/back corners off of them so they would clear the ceiling as I stood them up. Fortunately, they were both flanked by other cabinets, whick covered the cut off pieces. The sink was tough to install, the d/w barely fit, the cooktop didn't fit, which is why we created the stepped out look on that cabinet/countertop. My granite people dented the dishwasher carrying in the granite, so I ended up replacing one of the front panels...no biggie. If the empty space in the peninsula shows up, it was a change the customer actually wanted. Made me sick, but whatever. Also, I begged them to change flooring, but they refused. This is laminate made to look something like terra-cotta tile. Nasty. I think the finished product turned out pretty good. I did everything myself, exept the electrical. Even the paint, which was changed a few times during the job. The customers were thrilled with the way it all turned out. I made very little money on it, but it was a good job and I have had a few referrals from it. So, here it is in all it's glory....be gentle.

Oops, I just realized I gave access to all the pics from this job. I'm guilty of all of it. Me and 1 helper did both bathrooms, the laundry closet, the office, the built in bar. I thought I just posted the kitchen pics.

Looks good, sorry to hear about low $$. I'm sure you got some of those before and after pics in the portfolio (so it will make you some money). Just don't tell the next guy what you did it for, lol. Good job.

Thanks, guys. It did turn out pretty well. The Homeowners (female couple) were really good to work for. They bought some nice appliances that really added to the look of the job. Good for the portfolio

I agree. Beautiful job. One thing I did notice is it seems you keep your site clean every day. A big asset for the home owners. Adds high marks in referrals too.

Thanks for the words. Yes I try to keep everything pretty clean. Almost all of mycustomers are living in the house while I work, so I keep that in mind. On Fridays I do a fairly thorough clean-up at the end of the day so they don't have to spent their weekend in a mess. It's just a courtesy thing.
