Nice!

What's the story with the pie shelves? What material?

What size is that tub? Looks very short in the pics.

Doesn't look like a budget bathroom to me. Nice tile layout and detail work.

Mike, did you use new backer board before tiling? If so, was it hard to match up to the existing drywall? Any issues with the tub flange?

Looks real nice

I normally do recessed soap/shampoo niches, but, was on a budget and got those from (cough!) HD. Looks like stone, but is a man made material of some sort!
Doesn't look too bad though! Only cost about $12

Ya, put up permabase, no issue with existing drywall (other than the existing drywall in the room looked like crap)
I usually use mirolin tubs, this was a 60x30 model, flange was not an issue

In case you didn't know, that entitles you to 10 cent wings at any local Hooter's, and a lap dance by the largest, ugliest waitress.

Congrats on your new prize!

I have been using Mirolin tubs for...,well, forever!! They are, IMO, a very well made tub for the $$. I have had the misfortune to use a couple of MAAX tubs in the past...pita!!

Maax tubs
I get a killer price on the SwanStone Veritek tubs and they are readily available with 3 solid colors and 3 Aggregate colors... pretty nice and have had no callback issues

Looks like a mini though. 54"?
Ok, ok

I would of dropped the shelf down for the top of the "12"" tile. But that's just me. :
