I appreciate the ideals behind your response. And I'm sure any wife would be appreciative to receive an upgrade to her home like that. But...

Are you friggin kidding me? There are a million ways a bad attitude shooting from a wife like armor piercing bullets could make that project a living hell.

All I'm saying is living in upheaval seems to be more difficult on women. If she was willing to live through that with a good attitude for the common good, she needs to be appreciated for that. Big time.

And remind her every once in a while, they love that kid of crap.

Lowering the basement floor 2' to make adequate headroom to turn it into a basement apartment

very interesting-I'm getting ready to do the exact same thing just not as much additional headroom is necessary. Did they haul out the material in buckets/wheelbarrows and how long did it take? did they wheel the new crete in place?

We dig most of them by hand and bucket/wheel barrow the dirt to the yard.

We can do 1000 sf up to 2' deep in 2 weeks.

New Concrete comes in by pump truck.

I Did the basement digout thing in my last house, we used a conveyor belt to cart out the dirt, worked great. BTW Nice job Rory, that Tub is the sh**
