Why did this thread even get dug out of the archives? The homie has never been back to the forums, so does this really need to be discussed any further?

the only problem i truly see with the no caulk pipe boot is that the fools didnt run the shingles on top of the flashing far enough down the sides of the pipe. shingles should run down side of the pipe down to where maybe 5 inches of bottom of flashing should show. on the wavy look it could be any of the things everybody else said.......or possibly when they ran the starters if they ran starters they didnt cut the tabs off

looks as if felt or ice and water used of first 3 feet and was not applied perfectly flat the wave only seems to be in that area.
call him back make him redo on his dime guys like this give the rst of the trade a bad name

ice/water shield. if it bubbled it will do that.
