it's getting to be comical
I went to do an estimate on monday, and this is what I found The homeowner bought the house about two months ago. Party of the settlement contract was for the portico roof to be fixed. it obviously was done incorrectly, so the new owner’s lawyer calls us for a quote to fix it, and a report on the findings. apparently the previous home owner paid $3500 for this

Rip it out and replace it all correctly.
Make sure to throw tools around angrily so you look like Mike Holmes.
It would make a great wading pool though.
Why was brickwork cut out on both sides of the window?

thats pretty standard around here. They usually only charge around $800 for that kinda work though was it all pitched to the window too?

to put it simply my proposal was to lower the whole thing approx 6", reroute the spouting from the upper roof, repitch the roof and install new roofing and flashings
the brick work isn't cut out...it's just the design

This job has already been botched once , with attorneys involved. Chuck the entire job and open it up to see the extent of the damage or walk away. It is what it is, shouldn't this be a rubber roof? I do not even install this product anymore, #90 pound roll roofing or SIS, use those and it will need reroofed sooner than later. All that exposed roof cement, 3rd rate work at best. Mark the job up and do what it takes to make it work properly or just leave it for the rookies and moonlighters to funk up. Roofing since 1972. d55c

I don't know which is easier. Lowering, or ordering a smaller window. Good place for FL copper roof.

Based on appearance value, Copper Is the answer. It will solve the physical problem as well!!!!!

Just copper will not work. The roof needs to be repitched, or it will continue to pool up at the window. Once you repitch it, it will be completely above the window. The only two ways I see feasible are, lowering the roof or raising the window. It would cost less to lower the roof than replace the window. Secondly, copper is a waste if you can't enjoy it. No one will ever see it on that roof.

Well, of course repitched!!!!!! No new rise/run ratio and the Copper would not be seen!!!!!!
