I just hope that they did not 3 nail those shingles.
If they did, they might have some problems down the road.
Is there a big orange X spray painted on top, so no one steps on the skylight glass? Or, maybe they did not have them available and the shingles were cheaper than plywood or tarps?

I'd say that whatever is venting up that type b(?) is burning extremely rich.

I've seen quite a few large skylite covered when they opened directly into a room. Especially a bedroom.
Pipe looks as if he bought a black cap.
