Question Help with fixing leak

Need some advice. one year ago I worked on a roof leak. Main roof is a 12/12 that comes down half way on one side and forms a wall. Looks like the side of a dormer window. Roof that connects into that is a hip roof. The roof was leaking right on the corner of the wall. The framers did not bring the valley to the corner but stopped 5 inches up so all the water runs straight into the wall. We removed all siding from that wall and removed the shingles. Covered the wall with fire and ice, extending that out over the roof, and re did flashing, built a solid piece of flashing (copper) to turn the corner of the wall. No more leaks until the gutter man installed a gutter and nailed what he called a rain diverted (piece of metal he made on the roof to move the water from the valley to the corner. Seems like he might have compromised the flashing, as this spot is leaking again. Owner would like to re do that valley and this is not something I would be able to do. Another contractor suggested a cricket, another sleepers??? I don't know enough to help them decide what to do and hope you experts could give advice.
Can a valley be moved to right place, or water be diverted by rebuilding that part of the roof? May be I can get pictures.
Thanks for any tips or advice you may give.

Question Am I The Owner

The truth, No I am not the owner. But I will come clean. This is my daughters home I am the Mother. I know you aren't suppose to post here if you don't work in one of the professions, but here is why I did. My daughter decided purchase or build a home. We looked at modular homes and a friend of hers who had worked in construction and built a few homes him self said not to go with the prefab he would help her build a house. We hired him more or less as GC, he got a crew. He could have built a square box but not this house, it was way over his head and he would not admit it. 10 months later house is still not framed in completely so we called it quits with him. Since then we have been on our own. I never thought I would be a carpenter but for 2 years now I have done siding, roofing, decks, finished dry wall, you name it I have done it, along with my daughter. Guess what we are pretty good and have learned enough to help other people. I want to say the things we have done was not about money, it was and is about having it done RIGHT. The saying you get what you pay for ISN'T all ways true. We have paid TOP $$$ and had to redo or fix, the majority of the work done. We paid $30,000 to hang drywall (we supplied materials) it was to be smooth. We had to resand and we did it 3 days a week for about a month to get it right. I could write a book. I came on to this site as Fix-it as that has been my life for the past 2 years.
I don't get paid but still I am a FIX-IT Lady, and I hope that qualifies me to be here. I found your site and every one seemed to be so qualified and professional, just the kind of workers we dream of finding to finish this house. I know that there are customers of yours who try and take advantage and rip you off, but believe me there are many posing as roofers, sider's, framers and so on that that cause heartache to many. I hope you will let me stay so I can find answers, finish this house and hang up my tool belt and just be a stay at home Mom.
