Re: Grade, Steps And Flagstone Walkway
Hi there:
As far as grade I would just lvl the gound and slope it to the street or a retention ditch assuming you have one. On the other hand as far as the walkway. I would bring it up a little bit with base material and make the flagstone walk = to the hieght of the bottom of the step to enter the porch. Re: Grade, Steps And Flagstone Walkway
LOL I don't know what is worse.....that I just have a contractor in now doing the work or that this thread started over a year ago is still on page one!
I am very very delighted to announce that work is well under way and should be completed in a week or so. So exciting!!! I will post pictures though of work we had done earlier this month in the back yard. The first picture is of the old concrete block retaining wall. When my contractor took it down he discovered that it had no foundation....it's a wonder it lasted over 30 years with these cold Canadian winters.

They also replaced all the concrete around the pool......we had been thinking of doing stone but there are times when the budget limit has been reached.....this was one of those times.
![]() We had over 100 tons of armour stone dropped on our front lawn just before Christmas....it's awesome seeing the completed work. |
