Flagstone Patio

We did this flagstone patio recently what do you think? We used steel edging as an outside edge and filled the joints with polymeric sand. The sod looks a little bad but we did it the same day that I took the pic.

Re: Flagstone Patio

That was something that showed up there soon after we finished by way of the homeowner!!!!! We were pretty disgusted by them too and the guys wife didn't seem thrilled either. As far as I can tell they are heaters????? I asked her if she planned to hang out there when its cold lol!!! She thought that wasn't gonna happen.

sooner or later ... if the wife doesn't like them ... they'll find residence in the local landfill

Looks great, I'm with everyone else....those heaters are ugly. How much time did you have in this job?

Re: Flagstone Patio

The patio was bid for 80 hours we got mixed up in doing all kinds of other stuff with adding steel edging to get us to where we wanted to start our patio meanwhile so we took a bit longer but we did the irrigation, beds around the house (with drip irrigation) patio and prep and laid the sod. The patio ended up about 80 man hours and the other stuff was time and materials. It was kind of interesting because there is a concrete footing at the base of the staircase that I had to build over and make the stones fit around the stairs also.
