When I was fascinated by the JFK Assassination, I probably saw the clip dozens of times, and Walter Cronkite literally defined the shock of an innocent America.....he was never arrogant....God bless.

I just got home from school
when he broke into Mom's
soap opera.
He was part of life back then.
He was voted the most trusted
man in America for more than 10 years.

What America had with him, America needs more than ever now.
An icon and a legend who never forgot at his core that he was simply an average American who did above average work.

Now this man should have a large funeral and all of the trimmings. He definitely deserves it. To me, he is a bigger man than Michael Jackson or any of the other wannabees could ever be!!!!

Silver,
The Discovery Channel just ran a all day segment of"" Cronkite Remembers"

Great stuff,it was a journal of his reporting, and a memorable walk through history as we saw it change.

It made me realize how much reporting has changed.
