Wonka's Meth Lab...

My kids are watching the original "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" right now on the ABC Family channel. There's a scene where Willy is making new formulas in his lab. My oldest son (who's 12) exclaimed, "Hey, it looks like a meth lab!".

Kids say the darndest stuff. It's a sign of the times, I guess. (How's a 12 year old know what a meth lab might look like?)

Or maybe it's the old adage.... "Do you know where your kids are?"

OMG that's funny, cute, and sad all at the same time!

Guess he's been watching the news.

BTW I think the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is far better than the second, which my kids love and it drives me nuts!!!

Wow, I thought I was the only one. I find Willy Wonka's persona very disturbing and am generally 'creeped out' by the entire movie. "GOOD DAY SIR!...I SAID GOOD DAY!"

I'm a candy nut. If I don't get my king size three musketeers every day I can't function.

Before I got married my morning breakfast was peanut m&m's and Mt Dew.

I was just talking to my right hand man yesterday about the new vs. old version.

Haven't seen the new. Asked him if that one scene (the pigeon/dove getting 'murdilized') was in the new. He said what?

Was I just dreaming that up or was that scene in the original? It was freaky!

Oh, for Pete's sake! Well, lucky for me, I know he doesn't have one. We do visit the Army surplus store on a regular basis, though. He's got some very interesting "decorations" in his bedroom from the Army surplus store. My wife freaked out when she first saw his [de-mil'd] grenade collection.

Its the little orange guys that scare the crap out of me. My kids love that movie and wonder why dad won't watch it with them. I have to tell them I just don't like the movie lol.
