Why I Work Only For Contractors.

Why I limit my work exclusively to contractors (I know you were ALL wondering ) I have always held the highest regard and respect for the men and women who work physically demanding grueling jobs for a living. (afterall, I sit on my arse in an office ) The ones who have the talent and the tenacity to deal with all the different aspects of your particular trade. I know, and have seen the physical and emotional toll it can have on so many of you, and yet you go to work everyday. Everyone that I work for has become a close personal friend, I take my work for them very seriously, I know how much they rely on me, and the amount of stress I reduce from their work load is priceless (let's face it, most you guys HATE to do the office part of the job). Besides, I love what I do. I am also a very candid, light hearted person. I think this board is terrific, and I feel very comfortable here. Let's face it, I can't offer any advice on any of the trade questions, but I hope I can give back at some point if anyone is ever in need of any administrative questions or help. So thanks for being so welcoming and receptive to me! You truly are a great bunch! One of my favorite pics:
P.S. Sorry if this post is too female - don't want to make too many of you uncomfortable, I was going to throw some random images of beer and tools in to help you make your way to the end, but I didn't have time.

I slipped on a big puddle of estrogen on the way in here but.....

...I always like to hear others who like what they do, and are willing to offer advice....

...I need to fire my accountant, but my wife is friends with her

You couldn't have gotten me up on those beams with all the ropes and safety harnesses in the world. Those steelworkers were works of wonders in themselves.

Awesome picture. Those were real men back then. I love to watch those documentaries? of them building the Empire State Building, and the Hoover Dam, and all those old buildings. The thing that always amazes me is that there were usually men lined up outside waiting for one of them to fall so that they could take their place.

That picture is cool. It is hanging in one of my favorite pizza joints.

Re: Why I Work Only For Contractors.

Last year when I bought into a bar/restaurant business, (which didn't work out) I did a total cosmetic remodel of the bar and dining area. I had that poster, along with the building of the Golden Gate Bridge (another great photo), among so many other great history photos. It was very eclectic, and everyone loved it. Hmmm, if I am not doing their books, I am serving them drinks.

That pic is on the side of the huge size 32oz coffe cups sold at Speedway gas stations. But their pic has all of those guys holding sandwhiches and softdrinks.

And here I thought Deb was just doing books for contractors so she's have a ready supply of folks to test her "Butt Crack Spackle" on.

That bar business is LONG gone. I skipped out of there so fast!! It is the reason why I usually advice that "partners are made for dancing" .
