What Happened To That One Member

You guys who have been here for a while will know who i'm talking about. People like grumpy/Mike Finley/Teetor/speedy. The one member who use to always post back in those days. His name was bob. He was a carpenter around Effingham Illinois. (glasshouse) Wasn't that his username? I haven't seen him post in a long time. Just wonder what happened to him.

Re: What Happened To That One Member

I have noticed that too with some of the others like Ed the Roofer. I even went and looked at the last time he had posted and it was over a month ago.

I hope everything is OK with them and that maybe they have so much work that they do not have time to post.

But just for what it is worth, maybe the moderator or Nathan can shoot an email to them every now and then and let them know that they are missed.

I really enjoy talking with you guys. I have learned alot of things on this board and get different perspectives on a whole list of things. Even though we may get a little wound up every now and then, I really believe that if someone was in trouble or just needed an ear, most of the guys on here would come through.

The advantage of a board like this is you can talk after hours and you are probably home and not at some sleazy bar. You do not have to ask a competitor what to do.

Glass has some of us that "went to the other place" worried too, his last post over there was "disturbing" and i know a few members close by had done some digging to make sure the hinting of his last post was just **** talk and did not materialize...but nobody could find anything or contact him in person, so we're kind of hanging in limbo like a parent that had a kid kidnapped, you just dont know if they're good or if the worst has happened...but his last post was very disturbing.

Just starting to re-surface a bit. Yes, I am okay.....for the most part. After Labor Day weekend, I was able to find out some major problems with my marriage that I was completely unaware of. From that point on, unbeknownst to me at the time, I had started my own "Love Dare" quest.

If you want a smattering of what occurred in my marriage, rent the movie, "Fireproof", which is a movie that ran very similar woes. In that movie, they mention and base it on a "Love Dare" journal that Curt Camerons actor father presents to him to see if things can work out. Today marks the 83rd day on my quest to improve myself and my family relationships, which are finally showing major positive signs of progress and optimistic results.

Will be married 25 years March 2nd, and the one thing I have learned is that most of the time it is something that has to be worked on and attention paid to. No man is infallible. Glad to see you back

After the Mass Banning due to the Chat Room nonsense, attitudes here changed. The growth of this place has had a negative effect as well.

And then there is Facebook which eats up ones Online Time!

Just the Natural Cycle of events. Change is ALWAYS the constant!

This right here is a real man. In todays world, this kind of attitude is far too rare. Good luck and thanks for the reminder that even if my marriage seems great to not take it for granted and to work on it.

Finley's probably just on a ski trip. Someone said he usually takes a few weeks this time of year.

I think he told me he was getting out of this business and into something else. I think he got into a factory. Chief toilet mover right?
