What Happend To Maj And Grumpy?

I haven't seen any post from either of them lately, did something happen with them?

Grumpy got in a little tiff with someone picked up his toys and went home , hasn't been back since. Unless he came back as someone else

Not sure bout Maj.

I know where Maj went (pm me). As for Grumpy, he is a member of a few of these sites.

Just wondered, didn't relize they had a beef with this, "The Best" contractors forum on the net. Hey we all have to play by the rules. If someone don't wanna they ain't gotta I guess, but then Nathan and our other Mods ain't gotta put up with that type either. Now do they?

Don't sweat it. I go AWOL from my usual haunts from time to time for no particular reason. I have observed others doing the same thing. There doesn't have to be any mystery or drama surrounding a user's absense. People get busy, people get bored, and people move on. That's just the way it is. You can also "outgrow" a certain forum site, and you need to move on to the next level.

Notice of my vaction from the internet: From December 9th - December 13th I will be on vacation without my laptop. Therefore I will not be here during that time. Also December 16th I will be away.....However, I get bored on x-mas and will be the only one here posting "where is such and such"

Re: What Happend To Maj And Grumpy?

I equate sites like mining towns in the 1800's.

You get into something new (a strike), then all kinds of folks start moving in. Soon quarrels start and then laws have to be implied and enforced. In the end, you have a city that is entirely regulated. It becomes stagnant and no fun for anyone.

There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.

If they just went straight they might go far;
They are strong and brave and true;
But they're always tired of the things that are,
And they want the strange and new.
They say: "Could I find my proper groove,
What a deep mark I would make!"
So they chop and change, and each fresh move
Is only a fresh mistake.

And each forgets, as he strips and runs
With a brilliant, fitful pace,
It's the steady, quiet, plodding ones
Who win in the lifelong race.
And each forgets that his youth has fled,
Forgets that his prime is past,
Till he stands one day, with a hope that's dead,
In the glare of the truth at last.

He has failed, he has failed; he has missed his chance;
He has just done things by half.
Life's been a jolly good joke on him,
And now is the time to laugh.
Ha, ha! He is one of the Legion Lost;
He was never meant to win;
He's a rolling stone, and it's bred in the bone;
He's a man who won't fit in.

Hey, Steve... I don't like you, if we met I'd probably argue with you and want to kick your butt, but I appreciate the poem. Thank you for that.

I vote that MD should be the new CT "Grumpy"

I'm not grumpy. Just too young, cocky, arrogant, and dumb to know when to bite my tongue (or keyboard finger, as the case may be). That's not necessarily a good trait, but we play with the cards we're delt. It's among the things that make me unemployable.

md, I'm really curious as to why you have these feelings towards me, I'm generally well liked. I've been affiliated with the TCBA http://www.treasurecoastba.com/index.php for 20 yrs. now. their ph# is on the site. You can call them anytime.

I'm not big on the BBB but belonged to them once. You can check my record with them. You can also check the Marine Industries Association, I haven't been a member in 15 years but if there is anything negative, it will be there.

Why the animosity?

Every once in a while you run across a guy you like to hate. Tag, you're it.

(I've been affiliated with the TCBY. I stopped in for a dish of ice cream)

I swear, messing with forums is like playing cards with my brother's kids!

Why would anyone get made enough to leave over anything said on the intertardnet?

Hey, I did say I liked the poem. You're not all bad. You can pull a good poem out of your stash.

Re: What Happend To Maj And Grumpy?

My position exactly. Somebody, 1500 mi. away decides to dislike me through electronic media.

In the real world, we would probably meet, have a few beers, shoot some pool and be buds.

I'm not that concerned. Everybody knows who I am, where I live, what I look like, I'm certainly not paranoic.

Md, No sweat as far as I'm concerned...
I just wondered, they disappeared pretty much at the same time, I personally have no beef with anyone here at all. I'm really not here to make buddies or enemies. This site is a tool. If one does not like my post, I'm sure he can ignore me. I never try to attack anyone. I found both Grumpy and Maj to be very knowledgeable people. Forget I asked.
