All this time talking about what we all do for a living. What does your spouse or significant other do? And for that matter, your roomate or whoever else you live with?

My wife is an insurance adjuster. She's on the computer all day at work...which is perfect for me when she gets home. She doesn't want anything to do with the computer...therefore I'm here, feeding my addiction

My wife is a travel agent. We own a small agency with 2 outside agents. It's a pretty sweet job.

Graphic designer. She used to design all the cardboard displays and wrappers for Nestle candies. Once we drove across the country stopped for gas somewhere in the middle and her designs were all over the store. It was cool.

Mine's a Station Operator for wood chip powered power plant and she is IBEW. It is great entertainment to get her started on how much the union sucks.

Bookkeeper... She works part time doing bboks for a CPA firm. Part time doing books for my business, part time keeping track of my personal finances (or lack thereof), and a lot of time caring for her father who is in early/mid stages of Alzheimer's.

Mine is a sub teacher for the public and Catholic schools. Makes it nice for when she wants to take time off. Also if she gets stuck with some brats she knows that when she leaves that day she is done and not to come back for that teacher again. I guess you'd call it a pretty decent part time job.

Good news for me...a year before I met her I managed an amazing year and pulled in just under 300k but by the time she came along it was all gone and she paid for dinner on our first date and carried me for more than a year. I told my wife that I would rather her stay home and take care of the kids, she agreed. Money is tight, but my children know their mom, and DON'T speak spanish.....yet

There was a time when I stopped working and she was doing outside medical sales. Taking care of kids full time is a hell of alot harder than what I do all day.
